Haley Palmer

Originally from Chicago, Illinois, her family moved to Arizona when she was 12 years old where Haley graduated from Desert Ridge High School. She has over 11 years of experience in teaching and applying behavior therapy with autistic children.  She has worked for the Gilbert Public School District, private schools, and in-home settings.

She graduated from Arizona State University and earned her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Special Education and a masters’ degree in Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis.  She is a dual certified teacher in the areas of Early Childhood Education and Special Education.

Her teaching style includes supporting her students by tailoring instruction for each student based on their individual needs and strengths. She believes that students learn through play, hands-on activities, and lessons that are meaningful and relevant to them. Her teaching focuses heavily on supporting students to gain their highest level of independence in the areas of social emotional regulation, academics, socialization/communication, and behavior. She is passionate about a collaborative approach with students, families, therapists, and caregivers to ensure generalization and long-term success. In her classroom, they celebrate all successes and, most importantly, HAVE FUN!
